Simge Keskin

Violoncello

Born in İzmir in 1998, Simge Keskin began studying cello in 2009 at Dokuz Eylül University State Conservatory under the tutelage of Assoc. Prof. Can Elbi. She was initially accepted as a trainee student and, in 2011, qualified to continue her studies as a full-time student.

In 2019, she was selected to perform a recital as part of İş Sanat’s concert series “Rising Stars”, and received the Meriç Soylu Special Mention Award for Promising Talents. During the 2019–2020 season, she won the young soloist auditions organized by Mersin ODAMER. As a soloist, chamber musician, and orchestral performer, she has performed in prestigious venues in Germany, Italy, Spain, Greece, Hungary, Poland, Austria, Slovakia, and Prague.

She has participated in masterclasses and workshops with distinguished artists such as Gary Hoffman, Gustav Rivinius, Alexander Rudin, Pablo Ferrandez, Justus Grimm, Julian Lloyd Webber, Matias de Oliviera Pinto, Çağ Erçağ, Dilbağ Tokay, Ozan Tunca, Yuri Semenov, Melih Kara, and Nil Kocamangil. She has also studied baroque and chamber music with Bettina Hoffman and Olgu Kızılay.

Since 2014, she has performed with numerous orchestras including the Turkish National Youth Philharmonic, Tekfen Philharmonic, İzmir State Symphony, Bremen Youth Symphony, Yaşar Symphony, Karşıyaka Chamber Orchestra, Dokuz Eylül Symphony, Mediterranean Peace Symphony, Olten Philharmonic, and Ahmed Adnan Saygun Symphony Orchestra.

She completed her undergraduate studies in 2021 at Dokuz Eylül University State Conservatory under Assoc. Prof. Can Elbi. Since March 2023, she has been continuing her graduate studies at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University State Conservatory in the class of Assoc. Prof. Nil Kocamangil. She is also a contracted performer (4/B) with the İzmir State Symphony Orchestra.
