He was born in İzmir on January 9, 1983. In 1997, he passed the entrance exam of Dokuz Eylül University State Conservatory and began studying double bass with Eren Bilgen.

After studying with Duran Kaya for one year, he became a student of Prof. Tahir Sümer.

He won first prize at the 5th International Young Musicians Competition held at Trakya University on April 20, 2002, and also at the String Instruments Competition jointly organized by Dokuz Eylül University State Conservatory and Yamaha on March 5, 2004.

He graduated from the Double Bass Department of Dokuz Eylül University State Conservatory in 2004.

In 2008, he passed the entrance exam for the İzmir State Symphony Orchestra.

He is currently serving as the principal double bass of the İzmir State Symphony Orchestra.
